Sharmin Shila, widely known on social media as "Cream Apa," has been arrested in Savar, Bangladesh, on allegations of child abuse. Authorities took her into custody on April 10, 2025, following a case filed by the Savar Upazila Women's Affairs Officer under the Children Act 2013.

Sharmin, a beautician residing in Ashulia, Savar, is known for marketing skincare creams and sharing videos on platforms like Facebook and TikTok, often featuring her young children. One such video, posted on March 30, showed her forcefully opening her two-year-old daughter's mouth to feed her, which went viral and drew widespread criticism.

The complaint alleges that she regularly compelled her children to participate in videos involving haircuts, hair coloring, wearing heavy earrings, and other activities causing physical discomfort, all aimed at generating viral content. These actions reportedly led to both physical and psychological distress for the children.

The case has sparked significant public outrage, with many calling for stringent action to protect children's rights and prevent similar incidents in the future.
